

Alden James Cromwell, 68, passed away suddenly August 11, 2015 at his residence. Born in Hassett, Digby Co., N.S. He was the son of the late Edna and Sydney Cromwell. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Alden is survived by daughter, Nicole (Chris) Kendrick; grandchildren, Nikya, Nikeeden and Alexis, all of Kitchener; brothers, Garry (Rhona), Newfoundland; Ross (Barbara) Dartmouth; sisters, Verda, Halifax; Cheryl (Michael), Florida; several nieces and nephews aunts and uncles. He graduated from Weymouth Consolidated High School and then moved to Halifax where he worked for many happy years as a supervisor at the Children’s Training Center for Mentally Challenged in Dartmouth, N.S. With the proud birth of his daughter, he relocated to Weymouth and for the next years was employed at Foodland and Lewis Mouldings, retiring from Zellers. His only daughter Nicole relocated to Ontario he decided to move there to be closer to his grandchildren. Just recently he decided to move back to Digby. Alden was predeceased by his cherished sister, Vona, beloved mother, Edna, infant baby brother. His life was always interesting, his love of cars, spending special time with his grandfather. Always enjoyed hanging out with the friends. A good friend, the proudest father, grandfather and a good brother. Yes it needs to be repeated, he will be missed by all who have spent time with him. He is and always will be unforgettable. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9pm with a celebration of life at 8pm, Wednesday August 19th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. (902-245-2525).
