Mr Alfred Lawrence Thibault

Thibault, Alfred Lawrence – 85 of Doucetteville, Digby Co. passed away March 31, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital (Veterans Wing), Middleton. Born March 16, 1926 he was a son of the late Hanford and Frances Thibault. Alfred is survived by his son, Stephen (Pam); daughter, Maxine; daughter-in-law, Debbie; grandchildren, Angela, Daren, Lisa, Tyler and several great grandchildren. Alfred was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Vivian; son, Roger and son-in-law, Jim; sisters, Marion Melanson, Nettie Schwerene and Bernadette McClurg; brothers, Johnny and Denis. Alfred was the last surviving member of his family. Alfred was a diesel mechanic in Halifax for many years. Upon retiring, Alfred took over a family owned general store in Doucetteville and operated it until 1989. Visitation 7-9 Monday in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby (245-2525). Funeral Mass 10:00am Tuesday in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Plympton,Father Keith Billard presiding. Interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Doucetteville.
