He loved playing his guitar, hockey and softball for many years. Surviving are his companion, Barbara Allen, whom the family are very grateful for all her care and compassion and everything she did for him, daughter Starlla (John) Macneil, Yarmouth; sons Tobias (Shaunda) Sabean, Sandford, Yarmouth Co.; Arnold Jr. (Jill) Barr, Stephen (Charlotte) Barr, both of Weaver Settlement; Victor (Tonia) Barr, Corberrie ; sister Melba (Stephen) Doran, Weaver Settlement; 12 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Earl Jr. “Babe” , Wlifred “Dory”, sisters Nancy Brittain, Jane Penney.
Following Co-Vid 19 guidelines, visitation will be 7-9pm Thursday, June 17, 2021 from the Southville Church of Christ and from where funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, June 18, 2021. Mr. Lou Outhouse and Mr. Robert Manzer will officiate with burial in the Southville Church of Christ Cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
