It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blanche Louise Hewey, age 91, of Digby N.S. who passed away at the Tideview Terrace on Feb the 4th 2025 after months of deteriorating health. At her request there will be no visitation. Her journey here on earth was one marked by love, compassion and her faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends. A special Thank you to Dr. Bentley from the Dickson center in Halifax and the Tideview Terrace staff for taking such good care of her. Blanche is survived by her children Julie Mitchell (Reg) of Pugwash NS, Donald Dartmouth NS, Brian (Norma) of Miramichi NB, and most importantly her son Willie who has devoted his life to her in the last several months. Her loving Granddaughter Bethany Mitchell (Ben) of Ottawa and the last surviving member of her family Dorthea Stark 96 of Digby NS. She is predeceased by her parents Roy and Eva Wagner, three brothers; Leslie, Maynard, and Sonny and three sisters Marie, Mabel and Margaret. A graveside service will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Digby on May 2nd at 2 PM.
