Haight, David Orbin “Bobby”- Barton, Digby Co. It is with sadness we announce the passing of our brother and uncle. David (affectionately known as Bobby) was born December 3, 1938 and was the son of the late Milford and Alma (Lewis) Haight. After the passing of Bobbys’ parents, he was raised by his maternal grandparents, Dwight and Lillian Lewis and his Uncle Frank Lewis. David liked to tinker and he could fix most anything and did so with pride. David did odd jobs for neighbors and worked in the woods. He could be seen riding his bike and eventually a truck or car in the place he loved the most, Barton. His love of horses and oxen seen him attending many exhibitions with his uncle Frank (the hotdogs were a favorite too). David had many obstacles to overcome and did so with grace. He was never heard to say “why me”? David was fun to be around and enjoyed musical get togethers with family and friends. After many operations, Tideview Terrace became his home. The staff was so good to him and he loved them all. The kitchen staff saw he got his favorite foods. David is survived by his sisters Ethel (Stuart) Haight, Bridgetown, Annapolis Co.; Audrey (Norman) Buckler, Berwick; several nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his sister, Iris; brothers, Earl, Ray and Ellery; his best friend Uncle Frank; grandparents, Dwight and Lillian Lewis. No visitation by request. Funeral service 2:00pm Sunday in St. Mary’s Bay Baptist Church, Barton, Rev. Roy Bertaux presiding. Interment in Bloomfield Methodist Cemetery, North Range.
