Dean Edward Thompson

Thompson, Dean Edward age 57 , Ashmore ,Digby Co. passed away October 2, 2015, in the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Digby he was a son of Carol Glavin , Digby; and the late Harold Thompson. He was a scallop fisherman most of his life and was famous for his smoked fish. He enjoyed planting gardens and mowing lawns. Besides his mother Carol, Dean is survived by his spouse Patsy Lombard , Ashmore; step daughters Gloria, Laura , Tammy, step- sons Patrick, Paul, Stephen and Stanley, sisters Lori (Robie) Murphy, Lisa (Blake) Morehouse, Joanne Guardian, Carol Stevenson, Paula Stevenson, brothers Jerry (Carol) Thompson, Alvin (Bonnie) Titus, Paul Stevenson, and Dino Stevenson, several step-grandchildren , several step great grandchildren , several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Harold Thompson. Visitation will be 7-9pm Tuesday from Jayne’s Funeral Home 7 Birch St. Digby (902-245-2525) and from where funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday. Rev. Robert Reid will officiate with burial in Union Burial Ground, Centreville. Donations in memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
