We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Donald Allen Getchell on December 7th, 2014 in Digby General Hospital. Born in St. Stephen, He was a son of the late Doe and Jeanne Getchell. He enjoyed researching family genealogy and he loved to make small wood carvings. Donald is survived by his wife, Wendy; daughter, Jennifer; sons, Benjamin and Christopher; sisters, Sharlene, Mary, Susan, Doreen; brothers, John and Ross. Arrangements under the direction of Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. As per Donald’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place and a family burial will take place at a later date in St. Stephen, NB. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
