

Earl was a character; he could put a smile on the face of anyone he met. He was adventurous and truly a child at heart. Earl loved gardening, birds, fishing, carpentry and painting, he loved babies and animals, but he especially loved his family, fiercely.
Earl served 27 years in the military, a true hero. He received many accolades and served in Cyprus in 1974. He was a recipient of the MMM medal and was a proud Gunner for 20 years in the Artillery, while serving the last of his 7 years in the Canadian Airborne Regiment. He was also a long-time member of the legion.
Earl is survived by his wife, Audrey Morrell; daughters, Angela (David) Elms, Brenda Morrell, Karen (Stuart MacDonald) Morrell; son, Kevin (Dianna) Morrell; sister, Gail Morrell; brothers, Victor, Ross (Gaye), and Claude Morrell; grandchildren, Cheryl Santos, Maria Elms, Brandon Elms, Nathon Morrell, Justin Morrell, Nicholas Westbury, Taylor Morrell, Ashton MacDonald, Kailyn MacDonald; great grandchildren, Joshaua, Kayla, Breanna, Brayden and Logan and Owen as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by his son Ricky Morrell in infancy; sisters, Shirley and Audrey and brother, Jack.
Visitation for Earl will take place at Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby on May 26, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be 11am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on May 27, 2025, followed by burial in Madonna Cemetery and a reception at the Digby Legion.
