

Amero, Edward James – 91 of Plympton, passed away in Villa Acadienne on November 13th, 2012. Edward was a son of the late Frank and Esther Amero. He served in the Army, and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. Edward worked hard all his life as a woodsman, fish cutter and clam digger. He enjoyed raising cattle, a few of his steer sold were entered in ox pulls winning prizes. Edward also enjoyed time at the garage with the guys, sharing stories. Edward is survived by daughter, Marilyn Amero, Plympton; sons, Larry, Plympton; Terry, St. John, N.B; Bradford, Plympton; brother, Clifton, Plympton; three grandsons; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews also a dear friend, Rita. Edward was predeceased by sisters, Bessie Rice, Norma Hamilton, Phyllis VanTassell, Stella Hamilton, brothers, Drome, Camille, Daley, Georgie and Scott. Visitation will be 7pm-9pm, Thursday November 15th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525). Cremation will take place and a Funeral Mass will be 10am, Saturday November 17th from Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Plympton. Father Henry Smolenaars officiating.
