Milbury, Elaine Gertrude, age 90 of North Range , Digby Co. passed away July 11, 2021 at home with her loved ones by her side. Born on January 10, 1931 in Digby Co. she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Flora Titus. Elaine was a hard worker and enjoyed her career at Stedman’s immensely. She worked many years for National Sea Products in Digby and continued at Dan Kenney’s in Tiverton until retirement. Elaine was known for her kind and loving nature and her desire to be her family’s “care taker”. Despite having six children of her own, she always made herself available to care for her nieces and nephews and her grandchildren, later in life. Her family will always know her for her sweet sentiment – she never uttered a curse nor an unkind word to a single soul. We her family take great pride in knowing that anyone who met Elaine, loved her for the lovely lady that she truly was. Elaine was witty and enjoyed keeping people on their toes. Up until the days before her passing, she would never turn down a game of Skip-bo and often played with her family and just about anyone who would sit at the table with her. Elaine enjoyed adventures and picking on Billy, Shannon and Aiden. Above all else, Elaine had a strong belief and love for God and enjoyed reading the bible and listening to Gospel music. Her strong spirituality gave her comfort until the very end of her life which was spent at home with family by her side.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Milbury and sons Matthew Milbury and Clyde/Kelly Milbury. She is also predeceased by her brothers: Ronald, Gerald, Loran, Murray (Buddy) and Merrill; and her sisters: Dorothy, Hetty, Sadie and Muriel.

She is survived by her children: Daniel (Ruby) Milbury of Gulliver’s Cove, Judy (Randall) Isles of Bear River, Willard (Shannon) Milbury of North Range and Carolyn Denton of Digby. Elaine also leaves behind her nine grandchildren: Jonathan Milbury, Justin Milbury, Michelle Neilson, Kaylynn Isles, Aaron Milbury, Jason Milbury, Kris Amero, Dylan Amero and Aiden Milbury; and 4 great grandchildren: Payton, Charlotte, Jacob and Nora. Elaine also is survived by her brother, Irving Titus and her sister, Joan Campbell.

Visitation will be 7-9pm Thursday, July 15 from Jayne’s Funeral Home 15 Birch St. Digby and from where funeral service will be held 3pm Friday, July 16. Mr. David McClelland will officiate with burial in Mount Hope Cemtery, Bear River.

Her family would like to extend great gratitude to the staff of the Yarmouth & Digby Dialysis units and her home support workers, especially Elisa Morgan, for their extended compassion and care of their beloved mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yarmouth and Digby Dialysis Units or to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation.

Provincial Co-Vid 19 protocol will be in place and gathering restrictions will be followed. The Immediate family will be given priority seating.

Elaine was a strong woman and I will always remember our trips to Yarmouth for her dialysis. We had some great conversations from baseball to politics and listened to lots of good old country music. My condolences to the family.

My condolances to the Milbury Family. Elaine was a special cousin to my Mom. I took my Mom, Ruth & my Aunt Georgina to visit her when she lived in her apartment in Digby. There was always good conversation about the old times in Centreville. She had a great memory. Rest In Peace Elaine
