Mr. Eugene Llewellyn Amero

Amero, Eugene Llewellyn – 79, Waterford, Digby Co.; passed away May 13, 2010 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Waterford, Digby Co.; Eugene was a son of the late Harm and Annis (Tidd) Amero. Eugene was a member of Digby United Baptist Church, and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 122, Clementsport, Annapolis Co. Eugene was a fisherman, both in the lobster and herring industries. He also worked at various fish plants. Eugene will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Eugene is survived by his wife, Doreen Elaine Amero (nee Feindel); daughter Nicole Dugas, Digby; sons Elmore Amero, Culloden, Digby Co.; Lew Amero, Waterford, Digby Co.; step-daughters Angela Saulnier, Weymouth; Dawn Comeau, Alberta; Brenda Breakspear, Mount Uniack, Halifax Co.; step-son Sam Melanson, Ontario; brother Floyd Amero, Springhill; grandson Craig Amero, granddaughters, Michelle, Melissa and Ashley; great-granddaughters Emma and Adrianna. Eugene was predeceased by a brother Gerald Amero; and step-son Floyd Melanson Jr. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday, and 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby(245-2525). Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday in Digby United Baptist Church, Rev. Donald Robertson officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Digby. Donations in Eugene’s memory may be made to Digby United Baptist Church.
