

Gloria was a Postmaster for 32 years with Canada Post. She later became the heart and soul of Whale Cove Campground; managing every aspect of the home business for many years. She will be remembered for her kindness and genuine hospitality by people from all over the world. She was also an incredible seamstress! She loved sewing, altering and making dresses among other items for many people who cherished her and her articulate work. She enjoyed going for drives, watching wildlife (deer, ducks, birds, etc), boat rides, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Vaughn Tidd; daughter, Pamela Tibert (Jayson); sons, Frank VanNorden (Jody), Dana VanNorden (Taralyn) and Jeffrey VanNorden (Tannis); brothers, Kevin Harris (Sandra) and Warren; grandchildren, Brennon VanNorden, Julien Deon, Kaylee VanNorden, Jacob Atwood, Emily VanNorden, Kenyen Jeffers, Noella VanNorden, Willow VanNorden, Lindsay Milbury, Nicholas Tibert and Isaac Tibert; great-grandchildren, Jax VanNorden, Oliver Milbury and Liliana Milbury. Along with her parents she was also predeceased by her husband, Frank VanNorden; brother, Barry Harris and sister, Carolyn Marriott.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
