

JOHNSON, Greta Alvina (Lavaughn), 83 passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2015 in the Palliative Care Unit of Digby General Hospital. Born in Jordantown, NS, she was a daughter of the late John Leander Miller and Frances (Francis) Lynch. Greta fulfilled her dream of being married, having a family and traveling around the world. As a military wife she lived in Europe, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Alberta. Beloved wife to Hubert Reginald Johnson of Jordantown, loving mother to Marvin (Judi), Celia (David) Miller and Kerry and remembered with love by her grandchildren, Shannon (Mark), Marcus, Jeanette, Marvin, Nicole, Tyler, Toni, Alexander, Davin, Ciera, Taylor and her great-grandchildren, Shai Kirah, Alysha, Khaeli, Jaheim, Kaiden, Quincey, Lorenzo, Mia and Ryan. Greta is also survived by sisters, Edith (Wensel) Cromwell, Addie (Harold) Johnson, Doris (Wentworth) Stephenson and brother, Edward (Myrtle) Miller. She was predeceased by brother, Sidney Ruben Miller and great great-granddaughter, Brielle Martin-Bright.Visitation 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Thursday February 26th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (245-2525). Funeral service at 2 pm, Friday February 27th from Acaciaville Baptist Church. Pastor Galvin Simmonds, officiating. Rev. Roy Bertaux and Pastor Theresa Character assisting.
