Helena Stella Ryan

RYAN (Stanton), Helena Stella - 90, formerly of Central Grove Digby Co, passed away peacefully Monday May 19,2025 in Digby Hospital. Born in Tiverton, she is the daughter of the late Eldon and Evelyn (Bates) Stanton.

Helena enjoyed berry picking, walking with friends, spending time with her family, listening to all country music, Helena enjoyed every Saturday night for many years at Digby East Fish and Game, there was not a dance that she was not dolled up and ready to dance the evening away.

Later in Helena's life she moved to Wilmot to live with her daughter Donna who took care of her mother faithfully until the past few years where she lived in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown.

Helena is survived by her children, Donald (the late Monica), Central Grove; David (Joanne), Yarmouth; Donna (Charles), Wilmot.

Sister, Leona, Digby; 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, Helena also had a lot of extended family.

She was predeceased by her husband, the late Arnold Ryan, sisters Helen, Alice, Joyce and Ida; brothers Harley, Gerald, Merle and Clark.

Funeral service will be held on Monday June 2nd, at 12 pm, from Jaynes Funeral Home, Digby.

Donations in memory may be made to Mountain Lea Lodge Bridgetown for all their wonderful care of Helena over the years.
