

John worked for the Department of Highways in Annapolis Royal for over 20 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the Nova Scotia Highway workers Local #1867. John was a die hard fan of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team. He enjoyed completing the daily cryptoquote and crossword puzzles in the newspaper.
John is survived by his loving wife, Linda (McBride); his daughters, Denise, Rachel and Holly. He is also survived by sister in law, Lillian and five grandchildren; Miranda, Kevin, Shane, Ocean and Nisha. Aside from his parents, John is predeceased by his son, Johnny and brother, Jim.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at the Villa Acadienne for the awesome care given to John during his stay there.
A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm followed by a funeral service starting at 1pm, both from Jayne's Funeral Home, 15 Birch Street, Digby, NS, Pastor Josiah Cormier officiating. Donations in memory of John may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Villa Acadienne.
Burial will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2pm in the Waldeck Line Cemetery.
