Well isn’t this awkward! But I have to say I’m not overly surprised. I grew up within smelling distance of the Sydney Tar Ponds. I’m survived by my best friend and wife Theresa. I’m also survived by my children, Morag, Sheena, Pierce, Alexander and Shannon. My siblings who I loved dearly are still alive and kicking, Theresa, Mike (Bonita), Frank (Betty), James (Amber), Joe (Marie), Kevin (Charlene). Grad of Sydney Academy (69) and of Dalhousie (B.Ed.) Had a career as a teacher- loved it. I was torched… buried at St. Barra Cemetery, Christmas Islands. No services in Digby, have a barbecue and a memorial at a later date. Some best friends, Nigel and Andrena, Hussein El-Tawil, John Dow, Randy Seward. Beloved grandchildren Ava, Sadie, Eddy, Allura and baby grandson yet to be born.
Donations to St. Pat’s Community Kitchen or Islands Consolidated School. Chess, art, scrabble favorite games. Loved Morocco, Spain, Dubai. May be on my way to game of scrabble or chess with Donnie. Loved biking, running and disappearing dirt roads. Special thanks to VON for great care for many years. Share a memory or leave a condolence.
