Born in Belliveaus Cove, he was the son of the late Edmond and Marguerite Comeau.
Joe proudly served 25 years in the Canadian Army and later worked at Crown Upholstery for 20 years. Joe was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, he was an avid woodcarver and woodworker and enjoyed a good cup of Tim Hortons. He also had a deep love of music and enjoyed playing his guitar, fiddle, and mandolin.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Brigitte Comeau; son, Brian Comeau; brother, Elie (Carleen) Comeau as well as a niece and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Celeste (Gerald) Leblanc and Anne (Norbert) Gaudet.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby.
