Joseph Noel Saurette

Saurette, Joseph Noel – Age 67, passed away November 10, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Joseph served 20 years with the Canadian Military 1964-1984 then worked in the Reserves 1995-2007. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Joseph was an instructor for: Gunnery Training at CFB Shilo; Recruit Training at CFB Cornwallis. He enjoyed woodworking, carving, painting wildlife and scenery; spending time at the camp, fishing, socializing with veterans and friends. Joseph was inspired by the veterans and had much respect for those who served. His fondest memory was reuniting with his eldest son and meeting his grandchildren. Joseph is survived by son, Jason Jones, his three children, Taylor (15), Cassidy (13), Natasha (11), son, Stacy Jones; all of Manitoba; sisters, Jo-Anne Saurette, Ont; Micheline Fontaine, Que; Carole Cochrane, Ont; brothers, Denis Saurette, NB; Andre Saurette, Ont. and Danny Saurette, Que. Visitation will be 7-9 pm, Friday November 14th, from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street, Digby (245-2525). Also where a legion and funeral service will be at 11am, Saturday November 15th.
