

Chute, (Allen), Joyce Maxine – age 88 of Kentville,passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville .Joyce was born on August 11, 1925 in Aldershot, Kings Co. to the late Harvey and Lillian Allen (McNayr). Joyce was an avid quilter, knitter, with a fondness for nature, drives in the car, lobster and Hawaiian pizza. Her unique sense of humor and wit will be missed by staff and friends at the Evergreen Home for Special Care where she resided the past two and a half years. Joyce is survived by nephews Darrell and Allan Moore, Gary Cleveland, Garnet, Ronald, Daniel and Jack Turner, Harvey, Leslie and Teddy Allen, USA; nieces Joan Martin, and Linda Allen- Brown, Nancy Murphy and Edwina, USA; foster son Gordon Cleveland and several foster grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Alfred LeBlanc and her second husband William Chute , brothers Fred and Edwin, sisters Nina Moore, Grace Cleveland, and Georgina Turner. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the funeral service on Monday , June 9 at 2pm from Jaynes Funeral Home 7 Birch St. Digby. Chaplin Mary Anne Doherty Fleet will officiate with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River. Donations in memory can be made to the Hospice Fund of the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville or to a charity of your choice. The family wish to express their gratitude and thanks for the excellent care by the Doctors and Nurses at the Valley Regional Hospital Emergency Dept.
