Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother. Her pleasures were taking care of her family. In her earlier years she loved camping and the beach, clamming, beachcombing and collecting beach glass. Later she enjoyed painting, puzzles, gardening and building rock walls.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Cecelia Blanchard; sons, John Paul (Jack) Blanchard, Jody David (Jennifer) Benedict of Weymouth; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, David Ronald Benedict; brother, Leger Doucet.
Cremation will take place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society at www.cancer.ca
