

Age 60, of Smiths Cove, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side. He was born in Montreal, grew up in Nova Scotia and lived periods of his life in New York State, Manitoba and Alberta before returning home again to Digby. Athletics were an important part of his life and he had a great love for hockey. He was proud to have played for St. Lawrence University and later became a coach and mentor to young aspiring athletes. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and loved the outdoors. His personality was one of a kind and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his soulmate, Pamela, her children Krysti and Aaron; his loving daughters Bria (Brodale) and Ali (Michel); siblings Danny (Shelley), Christine and Sandra; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, including his “oldest and dearest friend” Fred. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Theresa; sisters Diane and Jocelyne. A special thank you to Dr. Weir, Dr. MacFarlane, Marsha RN and Tri-County VON for their care and support. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will commence at 11am on May 8, 2015 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Digby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clare - Digby Minor Hockey Association.
