

In her younger years she helped papa run the farm; worked at Wooden Keg in Tiverton; Connor Bros in Freeport and owned a small grocery store with her husband Percy.
She spent her entire life on the island in the family homestead, and never wanted to be anywhere else. She enjoyed knitting, reading, doing puzzles, quilting and feeding the birds. She always enjoyed going for walks with her sister, Eva and visits from friends, relatives and neighbors. She always enjoyed the mini kitchen parties and guitar playing at the home when everyone was visiting.
She is survived by her brother, Claude Elliott, of Freeport; stepson, Donald of Central Grove; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; great nephews and great nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband, Percy; parents, Austin and Enola (Darres) Elliott; brothers, Donald, Alvin, Glendon, Paul, Andrew, Norman, Lawrence, Melbourne, a brother in infancy and sisters, Eva Verna, Freda, Joan, Nadia and Noreena. She will also be missed by her fur babies, Thomas, Elsa and Fiff, who were her constant companion’s. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Valley Regional for their kind and compassionate care. Service will be held July 20 at 2 PM from Central Grove Baptist Church with Tim Long officiating. Burial to follow. A reception will be held at the Tiverton Community Center.
