OBITUARIO

Ricklin "Ricky" James Pierce

9 abril , 19869 julio , 2021

It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Ricky Pierce announce his sudden passing on July 9, 2021.

His greatest accomplishment was his son Tyson, whom he loved beyond words. Tyson was his pride and joy. Ricky was an awesome Daddy.

He was loved by and has left behind three families;

The Gennettes, his Mum Cyndi, his Dad Alan, his brothers Alex and Cody and his Gram and Grampie Bob, along with many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The Pierces, his Dad Michael, Eva, his sister Olivia, along with many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The Harlows, the mother of his son, Chelsea, Christine, Amber and their families.

We have comfort knowing that Ricky is now in Heaven with Nannie Jean and Grampa Frank Marshall and Grammie and Grampie Bud Pierce. He has many Great Aunts and Great Uncles and Second and Third Cousins, all from the families of Marshalls, Harveys, Pierces, Spurrs, Gennettes and Corkums. His greatest passion was his son Tyson, and he shared his other passions with him which included his Honda Fourwheeler, restoring and driving old Massey Ferguson Tractors, and going to the truck pulls with his old Ford. His nick name "Pop Corn" was proudly displayed on the doors of his truck along with "Ricky" on the driver's door and "Tyson" on the passenger door.

After he graduated High School at AWEC he went to NSCC and received a Certificate in Small Engine Repair. He loved to work on small engines and would often rebuild power saws or four wheelers or whatever he could buy cheap to fix up. He worked up north in Nunavut and out west in Alberta. He made a few drives across Canada with at least one being by himself. He loved to drive. When he came back to NS, he gained employment with Transportation Infrastructure and Renewal. He recently became certified and was a Snow Plow Operator in the winter and a worker on the Bridge Crew in the summer. We were all so very proud of him. He was a past member of the Bear River Fire Department and a longtime member of the Digby County Exhibition. A Celebration of Life Parade will be held on Saturday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. The Parade will be leaving Jaynes Funeral Home and will travel to and through Bear River via Landsdowne, around the river by his home and will end at the Bear River Fire Hall. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cementary, by invitation only. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ricky to a Trust Fund for Tyson. Funds may be sent to Grammie Cyndi to the following email ... hugs_for_tyson@outlook.com

Cindy, Alan and Family

Mom, Dad (Bill & Lois Kennedy) & I were so very sorry to hear about Ricky's sudden passing. We all remember when he would come to the store with Alan on the milk truck on days he was off from school. He was always so polite, friendly and so mature for his years. We were all heartbroken to hear about his sudden passing. We may live in NB now but please know you have been in our thoughts.
