

February 28th 1932 - February 7th, 2017. Son of the late Bernard Donnelly and Dora (Campbell) Donnelly. Ronnie passed away peacefully at the Annapolis Community Health Centre, surrounded by his family. He lived his entire life in the town of Digby, and he truly loved his community. He spent his working life on the water in many facets of the fishing industry. Ronnie took great pride in his family, his home and his pets throughout the years. Ronnie was known for his generosity and strong work ethic. In his late seventies, he spent his summers mowing lawns and helping family and friends around town. He could often be found socializing with his friends at the mall, at Sobeys and the Digby wharf. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Joan (Wheatley); daughters, Kathryn Ann (Edward Burton) and their children, Madeline, Jeremy, Rebecca, Tanya and Eric; Cheryl Marie (James Pineau) and their children, Melua and Joanna; son, Ronald David (Angela Stoddard), and their children, Natasha and Jessica; great grand children, Isabelle, Elizabeth and Peyton; brother-in-law, Michael Wheatley (Jill Trimper); nephew, Keigan and many other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, Lloyd (Vancouver); sisters, Ruth Walters (Spryfield) and Shirley Comeau (Hamilton). He was predeceased by his sister, Ruby Brown and brother, Richard. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 12th, 2-4pm with funeral service at 11 am on Monday, Feb. 13th, from Jaynes Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (902-245-2525) with Pastor Mark Cress officiating.
