Stephanie Ann Sparks-Ramsay

Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Julie Janet Sparks of Cherry Brook and the late Gerald Vincent LaPierre.

Stephanie graduated from Accounting at Dalhousie and started work in food service management then in retail sales before working with Canadian Military Naval Reserves and for the last 20 years she was with the Canadian Coastguard. She was a member of UCTE Local 80809, DFO Coastguard. She enjoyed gardening, travelling and the time spent with David on The Margaree River in Cape Breton.

Besides her mother, Stephanie is survived by her husband, David Ramsay; her daughters, Angela and Darlene; grandchildren, Karma, Brody; brothers, Marvin, Richard; sisters, Colette, Patricia, Tonya also several nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525). There is no visitation or service. Burial at sea will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory may be made to Missions to Seaman, Halifax; Cherry Brook United Baptist Church or Canadian Cancer Society.
