

Hearn, Stephen James, age 26 of Digby, passed away October 9, 2013 in the QEII, Halifax with his loving family by his side. Born in Digby, he was the youngest son of Paul A. Hearn and Wanda (Tibbetts) MacDonald. Stephen embraced life to the fullest and was always full of energy. He loved all outdoor activities and was a pleasant and caring and giving man. Stephen had many friends who cared for him, proof of that was evident as they visited with him this past week. He gave to all who needed, even going without himself. Surviving are brother, Paul (Traci Boynton), Smiths Cove; step-brothers, Jonathon MacDonald, Terrace, BC.; Matthew (Jessica) MacDonald, Deep Brook, step-sister, Amanda MacDonald, Tusket; Stephen is also survived by step-mother, Susan Cashman, and Step-father, Philip MacDonald, maternal grandmother, Juanita Tibbetts, Smiths Cove; paternal grandmother, Rita Hearn, Princedale, numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins and his new nephew, Dylan George Hearn. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, George Tibbetts, paternal grandfather, Lewis Hearn, and special Aunt, Theresa Merry. Visitation will be 7-9pm Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby. A celebration of life will be at 2pm on October 14, 2013 from the Smiths Cove United Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Cress and Pastor Chuck Daniels presiding. Interment in the Smith-Sulis Cemetery, Smiths Cove. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
