Stephen Donald Robinson

Stephen Donald Robinson – Age 66 of Deep Brook NS passed away April 14, 2018 in Annapolis Health Center. Born January 5, 1952 in Digby NS, the eldest son of the late Melvin “Donnie” and Stella (Bourque) Robinson.

Steve was a born again Christian and deacon of Deep Brook Baptist Church. He was a generous, caring and hard working husband and father. The greatest joys of his life were his sons and grandchildren. He found great satisfaction in helping others and willingly volunteered his help. Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and the woods. He also had a great passion for ice and street hockey and played for 60 years. Steve loved to teach young people sports, swimming, life skills and a sense of fair play. He was an electrician, working for Nova Scotia Power 25 years and later worked in the Alberta oil fields as a trouble shooter.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Diane (Wright); sons, Mathew (Natasha), Jonathan; grandchildren, Lauren and Spencer; sisters, Wendy, Kathy (Phillip); brother, Jack (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Patrick and nephew, Patrick Thomas.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby where visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9pm, Thursday April 19 with a Celebration of life service on Friday April 20 at 2pm from Deep Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Waterman officiating. Interment at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
