Happy heavenly birthday Velda, 80 if I am right

Ronnie and I are very sorry to hear of your loss.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am always telling people what I believe, and that is God never closes a door without opening a window. 33 years ago, God shut a door in my life, and I thought it was the end of the world -until Velda climbed in the window. I don't know why, but everytime Velda nd I got together, we'd laugh and laugh and laugh. They say that laughter is the best medicine; well, hll, Velda and I had the whole drugstore!It didn't matter how serious our problems were or how sick we felt, we always found things to laugh about. I remember once when Velda went to the hospital to have a rupture repaired. When they brought herout of the recovery room to the ward, she was still a little groggy. You wouldn't think that one would find something funny to laugh about in the hospital, but Velda and I started laughing so hard, we were pulling her stitches out, and I was asked to leave. :-(. Through the years, it seems that I kept moving farther and farther away, so I don't get to Digby very often any more. But verytime we were in the area, we'd always go visit Velda at her home -sometimes long enough for a game of YAHTZEE, more often just long enough for a cup of tea. As soon as I walked in the door, it was asif Id never left. We'd catch up on the news, and then we'd start laughing. I don't have anybody else to laugh with like that, but I'm certain that Velda is now reunited with her beloved Harry, and that they're somewhere laughing their heads off together. And 'm sur going to miss her...

I did not know you, but I knew you ..... You are a cloud, a wind, your tears are our rain, your smile is our sun, smile for your children and warm their hearts again. Time to rest now.

I am sadden to learn of the lose of such a great Woman. I will continue to smile every time I think of you Velda. All my best to the whole family.

Velda was a wonderful woman. She was one my Grammy Mary Rose's dearest friends. I remember us going to visit Velda often when I was younger. I am so glad I got to see her over the summer. It had been years. I gave her a long hug and cried because she brought back so many good memories of my grammy laughing in her kitchen with her. I told her I planned on stopping by again next time I was down. I guess I will just have to wait a while longer. Rest in peace Velda. You and grammy can drink coffee and laugh together again. Very sorry for your loss.  I met Velda when she shared a hospital room with my mother in law in Yarmouth. Velda was such a warm, caring person.  She was always thinking of others.
