Vera Catherine Cameron Morgan

June 30th, 1925 – June 5th, 2014. Vera Catherine (Cameron) Morgan – Age 88, of Digby, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2014 at Tideview Terrace. Vera was born on June 30th, 1925 in Bridgewater NS to the late Henry and Eva Cameron; she was the only girl out of six children. After finishing her Grade XII Vera attended Dalhousie University and in 1947 became a certified pharmacist’s assistant. She worked many years as a clerk and was employed at Levy’s Pharmacy in Digby. Also in 1947 she married her husband Robert “Bob” Morgan of Bridgewater NS. Together they had three children Patricia, John, and Robert. Vera loved spending time with her family and friends; she also enjoyed gardening, playing cribbage, camping in Kejimkujik (with the Grimmers, Clevelands, and Barrs), road trips, and spending time at the local curling club and hockey rink. She was a member of the Digby Grace United Church, Zelma Rebekah Lodge #78 Digby, and Red Hatters. She leaves behind her three children Patricia (Jim) Nixon of Bear River NS, John (Denene) Morgan of Moncton NB, and Robert (Susan) Morgan of Digby NS, grandchildren Margaret, Bobby, Devon, and Dylan, and many nieces and nephews who will treasure and remember her always. Vera was predeceased by her husband Robert H. Morgan, parents Henry and Eva Cameron, and siblings Milledge, Robert, Hugh, Donald, and Bruce Cameron. A funeral service will be held on June 23rd, 2014 at the Grace United Church in Digby NS at 2:00pm. Rev. Simone Wilson presiding. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Digby.
