William Edward Dexter

Dexter, William “Bill” Edward – Age 89 of Digby, passed away June 27, 2015 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Digby he was a son of the late Edward and Edna (Ryan) Dexter. Bill loved travelling with his wife and soul mate, Avis. In his younger years he loved trout fishing and golf. He loved gardening and enjoyed playing the fiddle and accordion. Bill worked for Digby dairy for 12 years; he drove an oil truck for Irving Oil for 12 years then became manager for Irving Oil until his retirement after 35 years of service. Bill is survived by sisters, Mary, Lillian, Elizabeth “Betty” and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Avis (Savary); brothers, Donald and Robert. Visitation will be7-9pm, Tuesday June 30, from Jayne’s Funeral Home Digby, (902-245-2525) also where the funeral service will be at 11am Wednesday, July 1st. Rev. Donald Robertson presiding. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to I.W. K. Children’s Hospital.
