Yvonne Jeanne (Marcadet) Comeau -92 of Belliveau Cove, Clare N.S, passed away peacefully Monday morning on May 6, 2024 at the Meteghan Villa. Born on March 10, 1932 to father, Pierre Paul Marcadet and mother, Marie Marcadet of St. Pierre & Miquelon.
She worked as a lived in Nanny as a teenager, then later moved to Dartmouth N.S, to live with her aunt and uncle where she worked in a restaurant. This restaurant was where she met her future husband and became a housewife. They lived in Dartmouth until they were married at the St. Bernard Church in Clare in 1954. She had a deep passionate love for walking, whether it was a nature walk in the woods or alongside the main highway with her toy poodle dog Abigail.
n her earlier years she did lots of crocheting, making blankets and decorating wire coat hangers. You could hear her singing softly as she hung the laundry on the clothesline to dry. She sang also while doing chores, and even on stage at the local talent night show on Wednesdays. She was a woman who took pride in her appearance and dress attire. She had a love of French grammar, wrote corresponding letters to loved ones with her beautiful style of handwriting.
She is survived by her daughters, Anne Marie (Comeau) Porter, Florence Comeau, Joanne (Comeau) Deveau; son Louis Comeau; grandchildren, Ian Porter, Danny Porter, Jennifer (Porter) Doucette, Jeremy Williams, Sarah Deveau, Samantha Deveau; great grandchildren, Cole Doucette, Ross Doucette. Her niece marguerite Tilly that reside in St. Pierre & Miquelon. Yvonne is predeceased by her husband , Edouard Joseph Comeau; siblings, Noel Marcadet, Pierre Marcadet, Laure (Marcadet) Arthur, Marie Marcadet and daughter Realdine ( Comeau ) Williams.

A big thank you to all the Nurses, LPN's, CCA's and all staff members of the Meteghan Villa who took wonderful great care in assuring she was comfortable , also a thank you to Dr. Julie Chandler. A thank you to all other personnel, VON's from the former assisting nursing home that are too many to name where she had resided for 5 years before the Villa.
