

He attended Dinuba schools and after graduation enlisted in the United States Navy. After WWII, he attended Fresno State where he belonged to Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
In 1948, he married Beverly Findley and they farmed until retirement. Bill enjoyed many years of farming in the Dinuba and Cutler area. He took pride in the land he farmed and had great respect for the outdoors.
He was an avid sportsman, loving fishing, hunting, hiking (he climbed Mt. Whitney three times) and being in the mountains. He enjoyed being a pilot, attending Indy 500 races with his brother, Clare, hunting and fishing with all of his buddies, and just spending time with family and friends.
He lived life to the fullest!
During Bill’s life, he was active in Dinuba Lions Club where he was a past president, Tulare County Fish and Game Commission, Kaweah Fly Fishermen’s, VFW, and a member of the Dinuba Christian Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, W.M. and Cora Pattee, his brother, Clare Pattee, and his sister, Lucille Daniels.
Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Beverly; his daughters, Debra Priest and her husband, Dean, Carol Johnson, and Jane Pattee; his grandchildren, Hunter Priest, Ciara Bruce, and Cameron Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Jr, Dominic, Delylah, Nya and Brenden.
At Bill’s request, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dinuba Christian Church, 355 E. Saginaw, Dinuba, CA 93618, or to the Alta District Historical Society, PO Box 254, Dinuba, CA 93618.
