Carmen lived a life full of love, faith, and devotion to her family. She had a deep passion for music and dancing, often filling her home with rhythm and joy. A talented cook, she was especially known for her delicious tamales and comforting bowls of pozole. Carmen also enjoyed sewing, constantly praying, and spending time in her beloved garden, where she found peace and joy nurturing her plants and flowers.
Her faith was central to her life—she was constantly praying for her loved ones, and no one ever left her home without receiving her heartfelt bendición.
She is survived by her loving husband, Guillermo Barajas; her children Guillermo Barajas Jr., Carmina Barajas, Griselda Barajas, and Sarah Barajas; her brothers Luis Camarena and Aurelio Jimenez; her grandchildren Jesus G. Garcia, Fabian Garcia, Dalilah Garcia, Ariana Garcia, Alex Padilla, Analee Padilla, Elyzah Barajas, and Matteo Barajas; and her great-grandchildren Alannah Jones and Aiden Garcia.
Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Salvador Camarena and Sara Jimenez, and her brother, Ruben Camarena.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 12588 Avenue 407, Cutler, CA 93615. The rosary will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, at the same location.
Carmen will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
