Celia Moreno Silva, age 69, of Orange Cove, California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Born in Hidalgo, Texas, to Cecelia Zuniga and the late Leopoldo Moreno, Celia lived a life full of love, faith, and devotion to her family.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Celia worked as a floorlady for over 15 years, earning the respect and admiration of those around her. But her proudest role was that of mother and grandmother. She lovingly cared for all her grandchildren and found joy in watching them play and act silly. Her heart was fullest when her home was filled with laughter and the warmth of family gatherings.
Celia was a strong woman of God who never hesitated to help those in need. Her compassion, strength, and faith served as an inspiration to many. She took great pride in the people her children became and supported them with unwavering love.
Her favorite colors were purple and blue, and she brought joy wherever she went. Celia loved to dance, cook, and celebrate life with those she held dear. Her meals were made with love and are cherished memories for her family.
Celia is survived by her loving husband, Jorge Luis Silva; her children, Yajaira Silva, Diana Silva, and Jorge Luis Silva, Jr.; her beloved mother, Cecelia Zuniga; and her treasured grandchildren: Jocelynn Jasmine Lopez, Uriah Angelique Silva, Ayden Alexander Reyes, Nathan Marcus Reyes, Isaiah Luis Silva, Jayden Daniel Reyes, Jeremiah Jorge Silva, and Mackenzie Faith Silva.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leopoldo Moreno; her grandparents Bonifacio and Felipa Moreno, and Cerilo Zuniga and Paula Esparza.
A funeral service has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 9:45am at Living Word Fellowship, 105 Westgate Way, Dinuba, CA 93618 followed by the interment at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Road 100, Dinuba, CA 93618.
Celia’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
