Darla Jean Hall passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by love, devotion, and family. She was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy was the people she loved.
She graduated from Orosi High School in 1974 and later earned her college degree in 1991, an accomplishment she was very proud of.
Darla married Dale Hall in 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in March of 1980 welcomed her only daughter, Tami, who became the center of her world.
Although she worked primarily in retail, her true calling was being a mother and caregiver. She was deeply involved in her daughter’s life—always present at school functions and serving as a leader in the Girl Scouts. Family was always her first priority.
Darla lived in California’s Central Valley until 1997, when she moved to Searcy, Arkansas, with her daughter, son-in-law, and first grandson.
There, she spent many years watching her family grow. She was actively involved in the lives of her daughter and son-in-law, whom she loved as her own, and her grandchildren, whom she affectionately referred to as “her babies.” She traveled coast to coast with her family and found her greatest happiness simply in being together.
In her later years, Darla returned to Dinuba, California, where she treasured time with her mother, brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephew. She enjoyed making jewelry, collecting rare rocks and crystals, going to yard sales, and a bit of gambling. She was also a devoted Elvis fan.
Darla is survived by her mother, Virginia Woods of Dinuba, California; her brother Bo Woods and sister-in-law Peggy Woods of Dinuba, California; and her sister-in-law Lisa Woods, also of Dinuba, California. She is also survived by her beloved nieces Nikki and Sam, and her nephew James David Woods. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tami Nutt and son-in-law Adam Nutt of Griffithville, Arkansas.
She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Andrew Nutt (partner Crystal Foley) of Corpus Christi, Texas, and their children Leo and David Nutt; Jared Nutt (partner Emily Nutt) of Searcy, Arkansas, and their son Dominick Nutt; and Kyle Nutt, Jaxin Nutt, and Julie Nutt, all of Griffithville, Arkansas. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Dominick and David Nutt, who brought her endless happiness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Woods, and her brother, David Woods, both of Dinuba, California.
Darla was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy was the people she loved.
Her family was her pride and joy, and her love will continue to live on through them all.
