June 9, 1931 – May 28, 2025
With deep love and heartfelt gratitude, we announce the passing of Jesse Manuel Silva, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend. Jesse peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home in Visalia, California, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 93 years old.
Jesse was born on June 9, 1931, in La Verne, California, to Theodore and Leonila (Valero) Silva. In 1942, the Silva family relocated to Cutler, California, where Jesse attended Cutler Elementary School and later graduated from Orosi High School in 1950.
Shortly after graduation, Jesse proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with honor from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War era. Upon returning home, he met the love of his life, Geraldine Williams, and the two were married on August 20, 1955. Their union was a beautiful partnership of 53 years, filled with love, devotion, and the joy of raising four children.
Jesse and Geraldine made their home in Dinuba before settling in Orosi in 1960, where they built a loving household and planted roots in the community. Jesse worked as a long-distance truck driver and later founded his own trucking business, providing services to local farmers, packing houses, and businesses throughout the Central Valley. Through decades of hard work, Jesse became a respected figure in the local agriculture and transportation industries, building lifelong friendships along the way.
A man of quiet strength and generous spirit, Jesse found his greatest joy in his family. He delighted in spending time with his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment of togetherness—whether it was at family gatherings, celebrations, or simple days at home. He was known for his sense of humor, warm smile, and genuine kindness.
In 2000, Jesse retired and moved to Visalia with his wife and daughter Pamala, where he enjoyed a well-earned rest in the comfort of family.
Jesse is lovingly remembered by his four children:
• Pamala Silva of Visalia

He is also survived by seven grandchildren:

And by his fifteen great-grandchildren: Jacob, Shae, Cole, Avery, Luke, Brycen, Ethan, Ashlyn, Danica, Zayne, Liam, E.J., Emonee, Damarkus, and Gaige. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Jesse was preceded in death by his beloved wife Geraldine (Jeri), their grandson Eric Silva, and his sisters Abigail Rosales, Elisa Arroyo Manquero, and Ofelia Martinez.
Those who knew Jesse will remember him for his integrity, work ethic, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His presence was a source of strength, and his legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and faith in the importance of family.
The family extends their deepest appreciation to the Veterans Administration, Palliative Care Team, Care Max Senior Solution caregivers, and the Bristol Hospice healthcare professionals for their compassionate care and support during Jesse’s final days.
Though Jesse is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing, and may his life continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
