Born in Clovis, CA, Joe Ikemiya passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the age of 92. He was a long time resident of Reedley. He had graduated from Delano High School in 1940 and obtained his Associates degree from Reedley College in 1949. He farmed for 66 years and was a member of the Reedley Buddhist Church.
Joe was preceded in death by his two brothers, Dr. James Ikemiya and George Ikemiya.
He is survived by his wife, Fumiko Ikemiya; his two sons, Robert Ikemiya and Donald Ikemiya,; his daughter, Lily Ikemiya; three grandchildren, Crystal, Kelsey and William Ikemiya; and his sister, Toshiko Kawagoe.
