Marilyn Jean Green was born on January 7th, 1929 in Cutler, California to John and Hazel Shadden. After Graduating from Orosi High School in 1946, she quickly found love and married Reuel Green. Reuel and Marilyn began a family with their first daughter, Carolyn, in 1948. The second daughter, Helen, came in 1950. Marilyn wanted to do more so she decided to continue her education and studies to become a teacher in the local area she loved so much. She began working at Cutler Elementary school in 1951 while attending school. After graduating from Fresno State in 1957, she went on to teach at Dinuba elementary in 1962. Marilyn Green had a lovely career of 34 years working at a teacher and retired in 1984. She is survived by her husband Reuel of 68 years, daughters, Carolyn Fowers and Helen Dresser, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Dopkins Funeral Chapel of Dinuba immediately followed by burial at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
