A lifelong Californian, she was born in Dos Palos in 1947 to Lora (Johnson) and Johnie McClain and was raised in Orosi. She is survived by her dearest sister in the Lord, Roberta Neil, her brother Tom, and her sisters-in-law Virginia Wilson McClain and Catherine Ormsby McClain. Her parents and Carolynn Pope, and her siblings Edith Long (William), John Darrell McClain, and Laura Jane Martin (Raymond) preceded her in death.
For over forty years, Nancy committed her life to Christian service, ministering from within her local community, eventually to outreach abroad. She worked tirelessly in youth ministries, women’s assistance programs, prison outreach, numerous family and community ministries, and then was joyfully called to pastor the Full Gospel Temple of Farmersville.
In 2006, Nancy was elected Bishop of Full Gospel Conference of the World.
During her 37 years at Full Gospel Temple (renamed Wellspring of Grace Christian Fellowship), her ministry and service expanded globally, most often to Mexico and countries in Africa. In 2012, after maintaining a lifetime of Biblical courses of study, she earned a Doctor of Theology from Golden Grain Bible College and Seminary.
Throughout her life of Christian devotion to those in need, she was unstinting in her love and generosity to all.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Wellspring of Grace Christian Fellowship on Sunday, October 22, at 2:00PM. The church is located at 474 South Ventura Ave., Farmersville. Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00PM at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, 189 South J St. in Dinuba. A brief graveside ceremony will be held 10:00AM on Monday, October 23, at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Road 100, Dinuba.
