January 23, 1951 – November 18, 2025
With deep love and heavy hearts, our family shares the passing of Ovidio Marroquin Gonzalez on November 18, 2025, at the age of 74.
Ovidio proudly served in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Specialist 4. He was recognized as an Expert M-16 marksman and awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
For more than 30 years, Ovidio was self employed as an owner operator truck driver, a career he approached with dignity and commitment. Even after long days on the road, he poured himself into caring for his own farm for over a decade. He was the kind of man whose hands were always working, whose days began before sunrise, and whose pride came from providing and building a life through sheer hard work.
His love for working with his hands and growing things never stopped even after he sold his farm. He had a natural talent for growing anything he planted and his gardens overflowed with vegetables he loved sharing with his family.
True to his motto “work hard play hard”. Ovidio loved to be out and about, and could be found out on the dance floor most weekends. He always dressed to impress and was ready for a good time with his friends and family.
He leaves behind his seven children: Esmeralda G. Aleman, Isabel G. Alvarado, Maria G. Contreras, Ovidio Gonzalez Jr, Oneida G. Salinas, Oscar A. Gonzalez, and Noemi A. Gonzalez; along with 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He will be forever missed and forever remembered.
