

David Silberman, age 96, passed away on January 20, 2026. He was born on July 25, 1929, in the Bronx, New York, to the late Betty and Sam Silberman. David lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia, before later making his home in Stony Brook, New York.
David was the loving husband of Peggy Silberman, who predeceased him, and the loving father of the late Gail Silberman. His family was always at the center of his life.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, David served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, a role that remained a source of lifelong pride.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Karen Dunne of Port Jefferson, New York; his cherished grandsons, Joshua Dunne (Lindsay), Dr. Ryan Dunne, and Lauren Goehle (Christopher); and his adored great-grandson, Cameron Dunne. David is also survived by his brother, as well as a nephew and niece.
David will be remembered for his devotion to family, his quiet strength, and a life defined by love, service, and dedication.
A funeral service will be held at I.J. Morris, located at 21 East Deer Park Road, Dix Hills, NY 11746, United States. The service is scheduled for January 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
The burial will take place at Beth Moses Cemetery, 1500 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704, United States, on January 23, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
