Harry Charles Cohen passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2023. Harry was a loving husband,
father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and foundation for his family. He is survived by
his three children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Harry loved dancing, fishing, boating, and telling jokes. He developed an expertise in vintage
fishing rods, reels, and lures and especially enjoyed antiquing with his late wife, Diane. Harry
served his country in the Korean War and his community in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, patrolling
Long Island Sound and teaching boater safety classes for over 20 years. Harry was always
happy to make people smile and lend a helping hand.
Harry spent his last years at Gurwin Jewish Assisted Living, where he was well-loved. He was
very active within the Gurwin community, writing poems and articles for the resident newspaper.
