Judith Birk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Birk, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on September 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on August 27, 1935, in New York City, Judy lived a full and joyous life, dedicated to her family and the things she loved most.

Judy was a devoted mother to her daughters, Ruth Filiberto, Susan Birk, and Anita Biel, and a loving mother-in-law to Mark Filiberto. She cherished her role as grandmother to Alissa Pennacchio, Jeffrey Biel, Jonathan Filiberto, and Daniel Filiberto, and found immense joy in her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dylan Pennacchio, and Quinn Biel. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Birk, and her dear daughter, Susan Birk.

Judy brought joy and warmth to every room she entered, always finding a way to make those around her smile. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Judy’s memory, as it was a cause close to her heart.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service for Judy will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Ruth Filiberto on Monday, September 16th from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
