

Michael Gross, age 73, of Lake Worth, FL sadly passed away on Saturday December 23, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Herbert and Sylvia Gross. Michael had two brothers, Jerrold (d. 1944) and Dennis. Michael attended high school in Brooklyn, New York and upon graduation enlisted in the Army where he served from 1962 to 1965. After serving in the Army, Michael went to work for the New York Transit Authority as a bus mechanic. It was during this time that Michael met and married Natalie Rolnick (d. 2006) in 1966. Michael and Natalie had three children Ivy, Brian, and James. In 1978, Michael met Jeanette Emmrich (d. 2001) , together they had a daughter, Evelyn. During this time, Michael retired from the NY Transit Authority. In 2003, Michael met and married Penny Montuore. Michael lived the majority of his life in New York, moving to Florida in 2005 to be closer to his elderly mother, however his heart always remained in New York. Michael enjoyed people and loved his family. He enjoyed tinkering with gadgets, especially those for his car. Those who knew him well would understand. Michael is survived by his wife Penny, his brother Dennis (Sharon), His daughters Ivy (Peter), Evelyn (Derek), Sons Brian (Lesly), James ( Jennifer), Step Daughter Betty (Douglas), Step Son Todd, eight grandchildren Alex, Kendyl, Avery, Addison, Hadley, Quinn, Cash, and Cameron, two Nieces Karen (Mike) and Sarah (Mike) nephew Jerrold, two great nieces Bella and Kaitlyn and great nephew Brandon.
Funeral services for Michael will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 12:00 PM at I. J. Morris, 21 East Deer Park Road, Dix Hills, NY 11746. The burial will take place immediately following at the Wellwood Cemetery, Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
