Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York to Murray and Eva on September 21, 1940. He married the love of his life, Barbie, on July 1, 1962.
Throughout Michael’s life, he held many titles. Navy Veteran, Employee, Retiree, Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Uncle, Friend, Cousin, Baseball-Enthusiast, and many more. None compare to the pride he held in the title of, Husband. His whole world was Barbie. Wherever Barbie was, Mike was there too. They did life together. You couldn’t get one without the other. It was a package deal for 63 years. Whether it was reading the morning paper at the kitchen table over coffee, listening to music blasting through the home with the windows open on a beautiful summer day, going to see a movie and grabbing a late night meal at the diner, sharing a deep love interest for Chinese food, or spending quality time with one another at home watching a favorite show; they did everything side by side.
Michael will be remembered as a hard-working man who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Murray and Eva Silberfine, son Yale Silberfine, and sister Audrey Singerman.
He is survived by his wife Barbie Silberfine, son Jeffrey (Michelle) Silberfine, sister June (Steve) Cohen, Grandchildren Melissa (Christopher) Marks, Brandon (Kegan) Silberfine, Jordan and Danielle Silberfine, Alexandria (Brandon) Trina, Hunter Williams, his 6 beautiful great-grandchildren Jayda, Logan, Paxton, Bryce, Brooke, and Yale, and many others who will miss him dearly.
“Those we love never leave us. They become our angels in the outfield.”
