Perry John Lewis was born in Trinidad on March 5, 1966.He was the son of Benedict and Yvonne Lewis; both deceased, and the third of seven children. All the siblings names beginning with the letter "P" as his dad always said "P" is the most progressive letter in the alphabet and would list words to confirm this statement.
Perry's mom was very pious and very devoted to our Lord, the family motto (in God we Trust) which his dad inscribed in their family home. Perry grew up in a home where he was attending church weekly and trusting in God has been his foundation to his spiritual growth.
In His teenage years, Perry led a breakdancing group which he happily did on weekends. Perry and his brothers worked with their dad in his construction business. He moved to the British Virgin Island from around 1987 to 1989, there he worked as a correction officer, his youngest brother Percy later joined him there.
Perry moved to the US around 1989. He started in Washington DC, to Baltimore and finally ended up in Queens, NY. In NY he attended The Eagle House (Zoe Ministries) where he started cutting the hair of clergymen. While working at a barbershop on 164th St, he started cutting Bishop Bernard Jordan's hair which led him to officially become a member then finally a deacon of the Eagle's House.
He eventually got his barber's license and opened his own barbershop where his customers remained loyal to him. He has been running this business for over twenty years.
Perry always had a love for God and felt led by God to start his own ministry. He officially started his own ministry in 2014, which members meet every Tuesday each week.
Perry Lewis loved all of his 8 kids so very much. In February 2005, Perry's son David, after fighting cancer for 2 years, made his way to heaven. Perry Lewis will now be with his son in Heaven. He was greatly loved by his wife, Natasha Lewis, and all of his kids.
