Many years ago, before Brenda, Denny took us from Saugatuck to the Musical Fountains in Grand Haven in his Sea Ray boat.  On the return trip a storm blew up on Lake Michigan. Huge, cold waves. It was sobering (if you know what I mean). The boats lights went out and all we could see were the lights on the power plant to guide us.  We made it back to Saugatuck at daylight.  I have never forgotten it, and have repeated it many times whenever asks about "closest death experience'. When I talked to Denny last year and remembered the night he assured me he had it all under control.  I know he'll be missed. Condolences to all.

"What the Heck" or something similar was what Denny said when he saw the tunnel I had led him to that he had to drive his motorhome thru to avoid driving thru Newbern, TN , with it's town triangle and sharp turns.  That is one of my memories of Denny.

Oh Denny. I’m so sorry to see another one of the good guys fall. It would seem Denny that you had a good life. Marriage and kids and all. We haven’t spoken in many years, but I remember you well and you truly were one of best.  You take care on your journey now and I’ll see you in awhile. Say hi to mom and dad and when Tuesday comes around, we’ll chuckle when my dad and your folks and all get together again  for cards.

I had the pleasure of meeting Denny and Brenda several years ago on a family/friend cruise. Denny had a personality that couldn't be beat and always willing to share his wisdom. By the end of the cruise both Denny and Brenda had also made us feel like family. Denny's passing  is a huge loss to all that knew him.

Dennis was one of our beloved January 1962 Highland Park (MI) High School graduates.  He will be missed by his many classmates and friends.  Our deepest sympathy is extended to Dennis's family during the difficult days ahead.  May they find comfort from the memories of beautiful times and experiences shared with Dennis.

My fondest memories of Dad are always present in my daily life. He taught me so much about how to be a man, what kind of work it takes and to always do my best in everything I set out to accomplish. I am blessed for all he gave to my life, so many experiences that I cherish. I love you, Dad; you will be missed by everyone who knew you.

Denny was a wonderful father in law & grandfather. After he retired he took on the roll of Grampa Daycare & my children loved spending the day with him & Brenda. While he sometimes had a gruff or grumpy demeanor he had a huge soft spot for his grandkids and his family. He will be greatly missed. 

My favorite memory of me and my grandpa is when he taught me how to drive. We were at his work when he worked at a golf cart place and he taught me to drive a golf cart. He hade doing circles In the little lot of carts for forever. It was so much fun. I will forever miss him.

Denny welcomed me into his family and treated me as one of his own kids.  He was a wonderful grandfather to our kids.  I will miss hearing all about the travels he and Brenda had together.   Getting a secret handshake from him on his last day will definitely be a memory I cherish.  ❤️

Dad was always there for me no matter what. Denny was a great Dad and Grandpa. He made me the man that I am today and I only hope that I can do as good of a job as he did. You are loved and missed Dad.

I share 2 beautiful grandchildren with Denny and Brenda and have had the pleasure to spend many hours with them at family special occasions.  Denny was a wonderful grand father and husband. Brenda has been at his side almost every day since his hospitalization and I know he will be missed.

Haven't seen you in many many decades. My only real recollection is when and how I recall your beautiful wedding to my beautiful cousin, Jacque..and then of course,  your 2 beautiful girls. See you on the other side. RIP Denny❤

Oh, those were the days,..met Dennis in college and then a surprise blind date when the Episcopal Churches had a toboggan party.  Very nice, good to his parents. Wrote for many years. Condolences to the many nieces and nephews too.

I have many memories of our high school years at HPHS and cruising Woodward Avenue. Some of those memories were good, some not so good, but they ALL were exciting.  Rest In Peace,  dear friend.
