Donald “Don” J. Koperski, age 72, passed away at home Sunday, October 1, 2023 while surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Koperski; daughter, Caly Koperski; granddaughter, Adria; siblings Mark Koperski, Mary Miller, Tom Koperski; nieces Lauri (John) Arver, Melissa Koperski, Danielle Koperski, Ashley Campbell; nephews John (Claire) Vahue, Andy Miller, Nick Miller; brother-in-law, Gary Vahue; and many extended family, cousins in Dorr, and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Geraldine Koperski and his sister, Sharon Vahue.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to good friends Steve (Kandy) Deurloo and Tim (Lisa) Cassidy for their care and compassion.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323 with military honors being presented at 4:30 p.m. Don proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. In memory of Don and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Michigan Nature Association.
