Edmund Richard Huver Sr., age 89, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026. Edmund enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was a hard worker, always willing to lend a hand, and overall a friendly, fun-loving guy. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Edmund was very devoted to his Catholic faith, which was exemplified by how he lived. He will be deeply missed.
Edmund is survived by his children Ed (Lois) Huver Jr., Jeff (Bonnie) Huver, Dennis (Kerry) Huver, Pat (Bridget) Huver, Troy (Lisa) Huver; many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Delores “DeeDee” Bridgeman; close friends Denny and Karrie McKlenithan; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Edmund is preceded in death by the love of his life (whom he married a week after he was discharged from the Air Force), Rita Huver; parents John and Vera Huver; siblings Marcia (Dick) Sanborn, Patricia “Pat” (Marv) Neyenhuis, John Huver, Joan Sterman, and Duane “Butch” Huver.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home - Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323, with prayers of the Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, MI 49348, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to Mass. Edmund will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, MI.
