Mr. Pugh was born in McKenzie, Alabama on March 7, 1951 to James Alexander and Lenora Davis Pugh. He was a graduate of Troy State University. He later moved to the Dothan area and during his working career was employed with Ansell, Aladan and London International.

Mr. Pugh is predeceased by his parents, four brothers, Edsel Davis, Harry Pugh, Marion Pugh and George Pugh.

He is survived by three children, Michael Steinmetz (Jackie), Melissa Blocker (Brian) and Marc Pugh (Kaitlin), all of the Dothan area; five grandchildren, Braxton, Brittany and Brenley Blocker and Abigail and Aiden Steinmetz; three brothers, James “Doc” Pugh, Frank Pugh (Shirley) and Winston Pugh (Sandy); a sister-in-law, JoAnne Pugh; several nieces and nephews also survive.
